Task related experiences

General Proficiency and Experience (Essential)

• Excellent proposal and reporting writing skills
• Proficiency in leading and facilitating processes
• Experience of project management
• Experience working with high-level government officials; experience working with local authorities and communities
• Experience in consulting or technical assistance provision for 5 years – 15 years
• Experience working with major donors and INGOs (please list and name)
• Directly supervising and being primarily responsible for proper coordination and execution of missions
• Ensuring submission of reports and all other activities required;
• Experience in working in various locations of the country including North East ( please indicate)
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas (Please indicate)

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (Specific)

• Design scope and methodology for research, monitoring and evaluation including formative/situational/ baseline, mid-term, end line using the OECD criteria
• Proficiency in applying research methods, especially in field research and surveys, participatory research, interviewing techniques, focus groups and case studies;
• Experience of evaluations of donor-funded programmes;
• Experience of project cycle management (PCM) application;
• Experience working with high-level government officials; experience working with local authorities and communities
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and interpretation
• Proficiency in developing result matrix, log frames and performance monitoring plan
• Experience in gender, private sector, development or public sector engagement
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas (Please indicate)

Capability Building and Training

• Proficiency in designing and deploying learning through various capacity development or building /training approaches
• Proficiency in designing and interpreting training modules /curriculum using various adult center learning and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in organizational/institutional development
• Proficiency in conducting capacity assessment and developing capacity building plans
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas.

Policy Analysis

• Experience in developing, drafting and analyzing policies
• Proficiency in drafting policy briefs including the use of info-graphics
• Experience in designing and facilitating advocacy and campaigns including products, messages and advocacy result tracking
• Experience in drafting strategy documents
• Proficiency in strategic planning, costing and result matrix
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas

Quality Assurance

• Proficiency in performance management systems, quality systems and processes (assurance), customer /patients care and rights including service charters (Esp. for Health and Education)
• Proficiency in developing quality assurance tools/checklists and models for various programme areas
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas.

Curriculum Development

• Proficiency in development of learning materials and tools – curriculum, manuals, How to Do guides, guidelines, hand books and workbooks amongst others
• Proficiency in good written and oral communication including French
• Experience in educational support for various ages – women, girls, children, adolescent
• Experience in using gender mainstreaming tools
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas.

Documentation

• Experience in knowledge management and learning
• Expert writing and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in innovative approaches for communicating messages using digital platforms
• Proficiency in one or more of our practice areas.
